Frequently Asked Questions
We've tried to answer as many as your questions here as we can. But if you are still unsure of something at Soul Reformer, please get in contact with us on 01565 656501 or email us at info@soulreformer.co.uk
01
How do I book a class?
We are very proud to have partnered with bSport for our class booking system. The links within our Timetable/Booking pages will take you to their platform where you will need to register for an account and connect to Soul Reformer.

Once logged in, you will have access to the full timetable and can book/manage/cancel your classes as you wish.

Alternatively please download our Soul Reformer App from the App Store.

02
Why can I not book a class yet?
Bookings can be made up to 14 days in advance.
03
Can I join a waiting list?
Yes, absolutely! We understand that we are only a small studio and classes might get booked up quickly.
However, we operate a waitlist system for each class and once you’ve added your name you will be automatically emailed as soon as a space becomes available.

04
What happens if I need to cancel a class?
You can cancel a class up to 24 hours beforehand without being charged. Please cancel via bSport or by contacting us directly.
05
What shall I do when I arrive?
Take a seat in our reception area while you remove your shoes and pop on your grip socks. You can then take your belongings through to the main studio on the trays provided and choose a Reformer. Our instructors will check you in to your class using the bSport app.

06
Where is the studio?
The studio is located in the historical market town of Knutsford. We are at the far end of King Street above the Don Giovanni Italian Restaurant in the Old Post Office Building.
If you are driving in from the Altrincham side of Knutsford it is advisable to go via Minshull Street to minimise the effect of the one-way system!
07
Where do I park? Is there on site parking?
Unfortunately, there is no on site parking available to clients. However, there is on street parking available in the vicinity. Notably, on King Street, Drury Lane and Tatton Street.
Please note there is a mix of one hour and two hour parking restrictions so please check the signage. Alternatively, there are pay and display car parks on Tatton Street and Malt Street.

08
What do I wear?
Normal gym/exercise apparel is fine. Please do not wear leggings/shorts/tops with zips or buckles on them as they can rip the leather surface of the machines. Please also tie long hair back.
09
Do I need Sticky socks?
We have a policy of no bare feet in the studio and the preference is to wear sticky socks. However, we do also have grip mats available for clients in the studio. We also sell our own Soul branded gift socks, which are available to purchase in our Reception area.

10
What if I have an injury?
Please notify your instructor of any injuries before the class begins. Please note our instructors are not clinically trained so please ensure a clinician has given you sign off to exercise if you are coming back from a serious injury, operation or have an on-going health condition.
11
Are there toilets and showers?
There are ladies and gents toilets on site but no shower facilities.

12
Where do I leave valuables?
You can take your valuables into the studio on the trays provided. Please do not leave valuables in the reception area.
13
Which class should I book on?
We have classes to suit all levels and abilities. If you are a complete novice we recommend starting with the Induction Class, or if you are unable to make that then the Gentle Class. Depending upon your fitness levels we would recommend at least three beginners classes before progressing to a Classic Class.
All our instructors have different styles while still practising the core principles of Pilates, and the exercises can be adapted to suit different levels. You will find which style suits you as your Reformer journey progresses!
The Sculpt and Cardio Bounce Blend Classes are only recommended for those with a good level of Reformer Pilates experience.

14
Do I need to do an Induction Class if I have previously practised Reformer?
No, but you will need to liaise with us so the instructors can introduce you to the studio, check your injury status and explain the Health and Safety/Fire procedures.
15
Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?
Yes! We run a Pre/Postnatal Class that is suitable for all stages of pregnancy and the postnatal period. If you are a postnatal client, please ensure you have been signed-off by a clinician before coming along to class.
If you cannot attend the Pre/Postnatal Class, we recommend the Gentle Class and ask that you please make us aware of your pregnancy beforehand.

16
